Andrew and Carol Doree (brother and sister in law) toured Morocco for 6 months during winter 2003/2004. They inspected nearly 200 Moroccan campsites. Is Morocco good for camping, can you buy a meal?
Camping in Morocco is not the same as in Europe apart form at a few campsites that are often owned by Europeans. However, the welcome you are likely to receive and the hospitality throughout your stay will live with you forever. You can  eat with the owners at some of the traditional campsites and defiantly will at desert camps. Most campsites offer inexpensive and wholesome home cooked food. Pre ordering is frequently required and we have put this in the descriptions.

Moroccan campsites with swimming pools are reasonably common because a lot of the sites are located behind hotels some of which have licenced bars. Berber whisky is sometimes given as a welcome drink and may well be flowing when sitting around an open fire at night.
